El Cabañal cañamelar is a neighborhood located in front of the sea of Valencia, Spain. Originally a fishermen village, where colors were used to recognize and distinguish between the houses. A low rise residential nieghborhood, with a lack of green areas and public spaces for the community. In this residental project, I tried to combine few types of apartments, together with public and semi pucblic spaces for the residents of the project, but also for the inhabitans of Cabañal and its visitors.

Colors have a main role in the project. By placing colors to indicate different spaces and elements, the project has a certain connection to the neighbourhood and its uniqueness. The planning is based on different green areas for different activities and users. In order to connect both plots together, the urban planning is based on triangles and a yellow main road to attract people to come.

By creating a grid system to the plots, cubes were created, and with the cubes I developed a system of dwellings (3 different kinds - studio, one bedroom and teo bedrooms apartments) that will shape the interior and exterior spaces of the buildings.
